Who's doing what

Congratulations to Kristen Barath of our Stow office and Wanda Boyd of our Norton location. Both of these adult nurse practitioners have successfully completed their additional education to become family nurse practitioners, and have both passed their board certification exams in these areas. These two nurse practitioners will now be able to provide health care to patients of all ages. Great job Kristen and Wanda!

A state-of-the-art bone densitometry scanning system has been installed at our Green location. This machine will be able to provide the highest level of bone density examination possible. This full-table equipment can scan spines, hips, and forearms to assess bone density and percentage of bone loss. If bone loss is noted, the patient and the physician can develop a plan to halt the loss and strengthen bone, thus preventing future fractures, height loss, and other complications.

In addition to these new services, low-risk stress testing is offered at our Green office one day a week.

Ready or not, here it comes! eClinicalWorks EMR (electronic medical records) will be installed in our offices in Hartville, Stow, Green, by the end of 2006. Eventually, all of our practice sites will be implementing this software. This award-winning software will help our offices to document patient care more efficiently and to facilitate all the preventive care necessary to not only help you when you are sick but also to keep you healthy long-term. We appreciate your patience with us while we implement this new system.

Community Health Care Pediatrics is pleased to welcome Dr. Erin Weber to our practice. After receiving her medical degree from The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Weber trained in Pediatrics at The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, also in Cincinnati. She is board-certified in Pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with Aultman Hospital in Canton and Massillon Community Hospital in Massillon. She lives in area with her husband and daughter.
 

Congratulations to Jon Seager, M.D. of Hartville Family Physicians. Jon received Aultman Hospital's prestigious "Young Physician Leadership" award.

Community Health Care, Inc. is pleased to welcome Melody Alazaus, Family Nurse Practitioner, to our office at Community Health Care Louisville in Louisville, Ohio as of November, 2005. Melody is a graduate of the masters of nursing program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland,  and is a certified family nurse practitioner. She is able to care for patients of all ages, and is welcoming new patients.

After receiving her medical degree from the The Medical College of New York in Valhalla, New York, Dr. Navarro trained in Pediatrics at Westchester Medical Center in Westchester, New York. She is board- certified in Pediatrics with the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is affiliated with Aultman Hospital in Canton and Massillon Community Hospital in Massillon. She lives in the Akron area with her husband, an Emergency Physician at Akron Childrens' Hospital Medical Center.
